How to Determine If SPFILE Was Used for Starting Database

Many times we need to know, or be certain whether the database was started using the parameters from a init.ora or spfile file. We can see easily through the spfile parameter. If it do not return any value or null, it used an init.ora, if instead returned value it used an spfile, as in the example
below, in this case a systematic OpenVMS;

 SAPCONSOLIDATION> show parameter spfile

NAME          TYPE        VALUE
_____________ ___________ ______________________________
spfile        string      disk$orasapt102:[orasaptes.dbs]
                          spfilesapt.ora
